I just LOVE the bubbas boneless wings! My favorite is Chili Teriyaki and it's not too spicy!! Just a lot of flavor! I went with my friend Jen and she likes the Bbq rub and the Honey chipotle! Jethro's is always a must when we are in town!!!
Best bacon mashed Potatoes ever, first time trying those out normally I get the beans. Tenderloin was perfect size and tasty. No gristle even better not greasy either just right!
We love to go to Jethro's and I talk about it frequently on my podcast on EmceeTV. We had Baby for our server last time, he's great. The food is flavorful, options are epic and the atmosphere is fun. Don't miss this Southside gem and don't forget to ask for Baby next time you're in Jethro's.
You thought I could come to Des Moines and NOT eat Jethro's?! I could never. This was actually my first time to this location: huge inside with an awesome bar and outdoor patio! Great space for large parties. Brunch, lunch, dinner - any time of day is the ideal time to eat Jethro's. But even though we came before noon, ya girl still had to get the one meat platter obviously! Brisket - always brisket :) smothered with Georgia Mustard and Alabama White House made sauces Waffle fries - I swear these are some of the best in the state! Jalepeno creamed corn - the perfect creamy heat Sides of ranch because I also swear they make the best! We came with a massive group and got awesome organized service the entire time. Everyone got something different, but one thing is for sure: everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Many of us bought "bears" of sauce to take home - my partner got hot BBQ and Georgia Mustard, and I took home some ranch (duh). I always leave satisfied and thinking about my next trip!
Staff are very friendly and I love the option of seating outside. Plenty of screens if watching the game is your thing. Right off the trail so a perfect stop for beers and snacks, or after watching your kids play baseball or soccer at the fields down the road. We love the happy hour specials but were a little disappointed to see the menu has decreased. But the food is still top notch. I have to say, Jethros is the bar we measure other places wings, nachos and jalapeno cream corn against. It is chef's kiss fabulous!
